Community Service

In May 2015, TSF was named Team of the Month by the Beyond Belief Network. The Foundation Beyond Belief lists its mission as:

To demonstrate humanism at its best by supporting efforts to improve this world and this life, and to challenge humanists to embody the highest principles of humanism, including mutual care and responsibility.

We share this belief and are honored to be named as Team of the Month. Along with the recognition, TSF gains access to additional promotion and vetting resources, t-shirts, and the ability to apply for grants for additional projects.

Our favorite place to volunteer has to be the Freestore Foodbank. On Saturday mornings we can be found assembling powerpack lunches for school kids, sorting through donations, or even working in the Giving Fields!

Another one of our favorite places is Hosea House that provides food and nourishment to those in need in Northern Kentucky. We have been helping prepare their garden to grow produce and served our first ever dinner in August!

TSF dons their hardhats when they volunteer monthly with Habitat for Humanity in Kentucky and Ohio. While building homes for those less fortunate, we leanr valuable skills to build and repair our own homes. We have way too much fun for this to be hard work!

A little known fun-fact. TSF has adopted the highway right outside of the infamous Creation Museum in Kentucky. We proudly display our sign for those driving by on the highway and make sure to keep the surrounding environment free from garbage and debris.

We love to throw parties, especially for others. We have partnered with Faces without Places to throw birthday parties for homeless children. We bring the entertainment and sweets, they leave with the biggest smiles knowing that someone remembered to celebrate their special day!
